Origin Story:
I grew up in North Dakota where it shaped my love of earth pigments and spending days outside upcycling whatever I could get my hands on in the local landscape. The land being nurturing mixed with extreme weather conditions created a need to embrace ambivalence…always being mindful of opposites; light/shadow work, comfort/distress, etc.
I am happily a multi-hyphenate artist; I use drawing, hand made paint, diorama, textile design, interior design, unexpected materials and also incorporate PTSD treatment methods in my process. These are all united by the visual themes of alchemy, archetype and anatomy.
